Bright Haven is a non-profit company in Barrydale, registered in 2024, working with neurodiverse and disadvantaged children through therapeutic play, breathwork, yoga, art and schoolwork support. They had a soft play room, an indoor playground, a climbing wall, a team leader with 7 volunteers, and start-up costs to cover.

The Challenge
When you're a brand-new NPC, you don't have a track record yet, so your website has to earn the trust for you. Three different people land on the same page: a parent deciding whether their child will be safe there, a volunteer deciding whether to give up their weekends, and a donor deciding whether their money will reach a child. Each one's looking for a different answer. Most of them open the site on a phone.
What I Built
I built a warm, colourful site that answers all three of those people and puts the donation where nobody can miss it.
- The rooms themselves on show: the Soft Play Area, the Indoor Playground and the Climbing Wall
- The team leader and all 7 volunteers by name and photo, because people give to people
- A Donate section with the Nedbank details written out, so a donor can pay by EFT without having to ask
- The NPC registration and tax numbers in the footer of every page, which is the first thing a careful donor checks
- Laid out for a phone first, with Donate in the menu
