Pret
Net Vir Pret started as Peter Takelo's dream of a creative, safe space for children in Barrydale. Today it runs after-school, weekend and holiday programmes for children from the town and the surrounding farms: art, pottery, music, riel dancing, sport, a computer lab, food gardens and a bike programme. About 500 children take part every year.

The Challenge
If you've ever asked a funder for money, you'll know they pay for what they can see. Net Vir Pret's work happens in Barrydale and out on the farms, far from the people who decide on sponsorships, and its online presence was thin and scattered. A sponsor who wanted to back the music programme had nowhere to read about it. Members had no single place to follow what was happening or to send a friend.
What I Built
So I built them one central site where every programme has its own place and the results are stated as numbers.
- A page for each programme, so a sponsor who cares about music or pottery can read about that one
- An impact section with real figures: 500 children a year, and the count of students now in tertiary studies
- Newsletters and reports pages, so a funder sees the paperwork without having to ask
- Real photos of the children and the programmes, no stock
- Donation and volunteer details built in, so interest turns into action while the visitor is still reading
